A little about our breeders

We've hand-selected our collection since 2007 and chosen only animals with A quality structure and secondly selecting for pattern, color, and unique traits. Our breeders come from all over the US and from Canadian lines that were selectively bred from originally imported animals acquired from Allen and Philippe. Our Bloodlines have been developed from Canadian and U.S crossed stocked, we continue to develop on individual lines that can be outcrossed and crossed back to strengthen the trait we are developing while not inbreeding. We keep a pure Canadian line going so we can continue to use it to add back to our own crossed lines. Since we have developed our own lines in-house we don’t need to worry about breeding US animals as our collection has largely been outcrossed.
Our strategy for breeding is to document and unravel the genetic traits within the crested gecko by genotyping our collection. This helps in predicting the odds for breeding instead of hoping animals look like the grandparents or parents. We are not a fan of “Banking on the chance” but rather betting on the odds. With this idea, we are in the process of working with other breeders in releasing this information to help establish a baseline for traits and their inheritance.
We have a unique collection of animals with varying patterns and morphs. When we pair we aim for a variety of morphs and unique combo morphs that show interesting and often wild patterns and color. We have a strong understanding of genetics and use that to define traits and create morphs and new phenotypes that are difficult to find.
Below you will see a list of our breeders, their morph, or combo morph, and identifiable traits with their inheritance. We actively update these so if you don't see it fully filled in it's because we are still breeding the traits out or adding them to the site.
If you want to learn more about Crested Genetics have a look at our Foundation Genetics page.
Have an ID?
If you have an ID you can find your crestie's parents here. Our IDs look something like this (LY20_0102_UA). The 1st letter is the initial of the male's name and 2nd is the initial of the first letter in the female's name. In the example above, LY=Laxus X Yuki. It is then followed by the breeding season, having a look at the breeding seasons page will show you exactly which 2 letters and number combo refer to which breeders.
So here's the break down:
- LY = Laxus X Yuki
- 20 = The breeding season
- 0102 = Hatch-Date 01/02, January 2nd in the case.
- U/M/F = The sex of the animal, Unsexed, Male, or Female respectively.
- A/B = Clutch mates, A is the first one out of the egg, B is the second.
- Finally, if your ID ends in -##g then that's the weight in grams.
**NOTE** For adults with the same first letter in their name visit our Breeding Seasons Page to see exactly what we bred for your particular ID.

Breeders
FEMALE
Alice
This is Alice. She has great head structure and wide dorsal. She is a Harlequin with drippy dorsals, a lavender base, with cream topcoat, and a dalmatian. She's one of the sweetest girls and her babies have the same temperament.
AVA
This is AVA, she had one of the most unique color reds I've seen. She only ever fired up a few times for us in the time that we had her. This image is 12 years old and we only ever managed to get one egg from her. That male is Omega, his father was a gorgeous deep red with white spots. we are working at getting back to Ava's color, Omega is currently the closes thing we have.
Haruko
This is Haruko. She is out of our Punks and Grunge line crossing. These are Phantom tangerines, citrus, and tiger. Haruko is just too cute. She is so many generations in we've lost count. Her pattern comes from crossing in our yellow Tiger to this group, we may be pairing her to our Super tiger Sabertooth or Ignite to make more Strawberry Tigers and Strawberry Blondes.
Lucy
This is Lucy, she is a Super Softscale and photos do not do her justice, trying to capture the Matte pinkish-orange base coloration of her laterals is very difficult. She has great structure and is a large female. Excellent breeder and the sweetest temperament.
Lust
This is Lust, she is BRIGHT! So bright that she reflects her deep citrus color when we take pictures of her. As you can see in the second photo. She is Phantom Superstripe extreme harlequin you can see some base pattern coming through on her legs and laterals. She is out of Grunge projects with HIGH citrus coloration.
Lyla
This is Lyla, ~14 years old in the Pumpkin photos and ~3 years old in with the heather grey background. She originated from Canada and was the start of our Canadian lines as we acquired more. Her parents were from Doug Healey, and Betty Miskie (Gecko Brothel). Two legendary Crested Gecko breeders who selectively bred some of the finest in the industry. If you can get stock from these lines they are an excellent investment for new blood outside the US. We have separate sections in our collection to preserve this line with Canadian stock that was early on in the game. Lyla is the origin of our Lavender lines with excellent purple hues when fired up and fired down, you may notice the purple coloration on the head is due to the cream being somewhat translucent and showing the lavender color from the neck to the tip of her nose. One of her best offspring is E!
Mrs. C
This is Mrs. C. She produces very bright offspring with FML. We love the triggering pattern on her sides with her orange base pattern produces a coral-like pattern on several offspring, when combined with the right cream color produces very bright animals.
Ophelia
This is Ophelia, she is a Hyper Tangerine, these started being produced just a few years ago, there are only a few breeders that are working with these AC Reptiles is one of them. This girl will be paired to Pandamonium Lines to further the Tangerine and Bubblegum traits.
Peaches
This is Peaches, she is out of the grunge line of animals but more towards the citrus and tiger/brindle groups like Lust. She is a light peach color with Phantom and a massive head! She is responsible for the Pandamonium babies and has a light expression of bubblegum.
Priscilla
This is Priscila, she has excellent structure and a cute small nose. Her yellow base has an unparalleled brightness! She's super clean but does have 3 spots. She will be breeding this coming year 2021. Her Whitewall and fringe is thick and solid. She is also a Super Soft Scale so all her offspring will be Soft Scale.
Sakura
This is Sakura, the whitest Crested Gecko to exist that is not a Lilly White or paradox anomaly. She is a true pale white, there is hardly any melanin in her base color and she is highlighted in white accents. Even the fringe color around her pattern is white. Her eyes are near Black, she hatched with dark eyes that darkened with age. Her sister was also very white in color with dark eyes. We have hatched several from her and will be breeding back to see if black eyes pop out again. This is looking to be a promising trait and we hope to refine her further. Here you can see her normally unfired and fired up after about 2 hours in a tub, that is the most pattern we are ever able to get out of her.
Yuki
This is Yuki, she has excellent structure and produces babies with cute faces that have shorter and rounder noses. She is out of the grunge group of animals and is on the citrus side. She is a Cream on Cream Citrus base Phantom making her very light and hypo. She is an advanced animal with many traits tuned just right to make her coloration. She is Het Dal and produces some very clean animals.
